... don't need time to be heated up to keep your home warm.
The wood does that naturally.
You don't need high temperatures to feel comfortable. The unhealthy and expensive over-heating of rooms does not exist in loghomes. So they even save money naturally.
For a healthy climate at home
... humidity of the air is an important factor. To feel comfortable, it has to correspond with the temperature of the room. Again wood is the best choice. Its surface can 'breathe' and that's why it regulates humidity in a natural way.
Breathing fresh air
Last but not least wood filters air. Cigarette smoke and other unwanted smells are eliminated. The complete breathing air is filtered three to four times per hour.
For many, the warm and beautiful surface of wood is reason enough wanting a loghome, though.
We do not use tropical woods
The only wood we use to build loghomes are from the white cedar and the red cedar from (northern) areas where trees are grown for production purposes, especially from Canada.
